HI there, I’m Dr. Faaria Karim ND, LAc
Most mornings you’ll find me perusing headlines over a steaming cup of coffee. My patients will tell you that I am warm and compassionate, with an easy-going nature.
I blend clinical expertise with research evidence to help solve health challenges affecting people who are used to putting others ahead of themselves, and I love what I do!
I am here to enhance & elevate your life by educating and empowering you to feel vibrant, strong and energized.
I serve people who need help on their fertility journey, who are looking to heal digestive pain and discomfort, who struggle with painful periods, who wish they didn’t feel sluggish, overtired or anxious, who can’t figure out how to correct hormone imbalances, or who want to boost their health and wellness. I am lucky to hear their stories and use integrative medicine to fill the gap and guide them from where they are to where they want to be.
After graduating with a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine Degree and a Masters of Science degree in Acupuncture from Bastyr University, I completed a rigourous residency program at a well-established, integrated clinic in Portland, OR. I was very fortunate to learn from and work with some of the best practitioners in the fields of fertility, women’s health and digestive health. I also had the privilege of working with amazing patients from a variety of backgrounds, with unique stories.
The conditions I most commonly treat are:
Fertility struggles and Infertility
Thyroid conditions
PCOS
Hormones
Premature Ovarian Insufficiency
Pelvic pain
Complaints in Pregnancy
Perimenopause
Post partum care
IBS and food sensitivities
SIBO
Abdominal pain
Crohns and Colitis
Autoimmune Conditions
When I’m not in the office you can catch me breaking a sweat in a kickboxing class, trying out a new recipe in the kitchen or checking out a new coffee shop.
If you’re dying to hear more, here are three things you might not know about me:
I was born and raised in Vancouver, BC and having lived away for a handful of years, I still think it’s the most beautiful city!
My favourite shows of all time are Friends, Suits and Game of Thrones.
After several years of living in the US, I finally understand how a football game works! (Shout out to many an American friend for their patience).
Still here? Let’s connect!
